“Malawian Pastor Buys Third Private Jet; “I Was Born A Winner”, He Says

Private Jet Malawi Pastor

Even Jesus would be jealous.

One of the wealthiest pastors in Africa, Malawian pastor Shepherd Bushier, just bought his third private jet and many people aren’t too pleased.

In a Jan. 6 ceremony, he celebrating the purchase of a Gulf Stream III and claimed, “I am what God says I am. I was born a winner. This goes to people who understand my vision. This is not for me but to those who believe in better things.”

The Gulf Stream III sells for about $37 million. How many schools can be built with that money? You do the math.

Bushiri posted the pictures of his Jet on Facebook with the caption: “My third jet in two years.”

Bushiri founded the Enlightened Christian Gathering (EGC), whose aim is to “bring awareness about God’s existence and voice in this day and age.” The pastor says he is a prophet of God. (Whatever that means)

Many people criticized this purchase by going on his Facebook and asking why he bought this private jet when the money could have gone into building orphanages and helping street kids.

But his followers were quick to defend. One said,”You can’t be poor when you know God and have powers to communicate direct with him.” Another follower wrote, “I will own a private jet one day in Jesus name to help international visitors coming abroad to ECG church.”

This is one of the many reasons people get turned off by religion. Why does a pastor need THREE private jets? Is he using these jets for humanitarian missions? $37 million dollars is a LOT of money to be thrown at something like a jet. Yet, people will follow pastors like Bushiri because they think God will also bless them with riches and wealth.
